On the 16th of December 2015 the SPAR Ping! Stand-up pouch with Chinese Tomato soup is awarded with the Best Product of the Year award in the category soup products.
DeeDee would like to congratulate the super market chain SPAR with this wonderful award. Moreover, DeeDee is very proud that this product packed in our microwavable stand-up pouch holds this title for 1 year.
In 2014 the purchasing organisation Superunie introduced this microwavable stand-up pouch for soup which consist of 100% plastic. This pouch was developed together with DeeDee. This pouch has multiple advantages and includes the following:
- This pouch is microwave resistant: the soup can be served directly out of the heated pouch, which offers optimal consumer convenience
- The pouch can easily be put in the microwave due to its special shape and size
- It is made of 100% plastic: recyclable according to the Dutch Plastic Heroes organization

- Increased food safety: possibility of metal detection after filling
